As a general rule of thumb the below basketball hoop height guide indicates the most appropriate hoop height for proper technique practice based on age group. Most of our hoops are height adjustable so that they can be lowered to begin with if required and then raised as required.
- 2.1m is suitable for most children up to about 8 years old
- 2.6m is suitable for most children between about 8 to 13 years old
- 3.05m is full regulation hoop height and is suitable for ages 13 to adult
